Unveiling of the MR1 Fossil

The iconic MR1 fossil was recovered along Manuals River in the 1970s by Dr. Riccardo Levi-Setti, who recently donated it to our collection. Over 500 million years old and nearly 35 cm long, MR1 is one of the best-preserved trilobites in the world and is renowned as the cover image on Dr. Levi-Setti's famous book on trilobites.
