2018 YEAR IN REVIEW
CASC reflects on the associations many accomplishments and successes of 2018. Below are a few noteworthy milestones of the year.
> Build & Leverage
Dr. Marianne Mader joined the association as the new Executive Director in June 2018.
A strategic planning task force was implemented and CASC invited members to contribute for the 2019 – 2022 strategic plan at the 16th Annual Conference in Prince George, BC.
> Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
Inspired by their strong relationship with the local Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, The Exploration Place wanted to send a clear message at CASC 2018 that reconciliation through collaboration is a powerful strategy.
This webinar used engaging activities to highlight the latest scientific research on STEM equity. By gaining a deeper appreciation for how barriers are created for women and historically marginalized individuals in STEM, you will be better equipped to lead the challenging, yet necessary conversions about EDI in your science centre spaces.
