Action to Impact Funding Program
The Action to Impact Funding Program gives CASC members the resources and support to help their local communities address climate action and tackle misinformation, especially with equity-deserving communities from coast to coast to coast across Canada.

The Action to Impact funding program is supported by Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada’s Strategic Science Fund. This flow-through funding program speaks to CASC’s mandate of making science approachable, relevant and accessible while also addressing the global challenges we face, including the climate crisis and the proliferation of misinformation.
Working with CASC members, our collective goal is to reach over 65,000 equity-deserving youth and their families across the country.
CASC’s Flow-through Funding Program
The call for proposals is now open for the Action to Impact Flowthrough Funding Program.
The funding program will provide up to $100,000 per year for a maximum of two years to eligible CASC member organizations. Funding will support the development and delivery of facilitated activities that align with one of two themes: Community Driven Climate Action OR Addressing Science Misinformation (e.g Health, Climate etc). The activities must be relevant to equity-deserving communities across Canada. These include, but are not limited to: Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples), racialized people living in Canada, newcomers to Canada, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, women and girls, persons with disabilities, people experiencing low income or homelessness, and rural and remote populations.
Applicants may request support for up to two years, with the understanding that second-year funding is contingent upon the successful completion of year one.
The facilitated, synchronous activities must be co-designed in collaboration with equity-deserving communities to ensure the format and content are responsive to their needs. Activities should aim to:
- Increase awareness and knowledge of the selected topic
- Deepen understanding of the topic
- Inspire motivation to take positive action
- Foster interest in STEM careers among youth participants
