Could Science North help Thunder Bay establish grain elevator museum?

A well known attraction in northeastern Ontario could help get a grain elevator museum up and running in Thunder Bay.

The Friends of the Grain Elevators have spoken with Science North about receiving help from the Sudbury-based group to develop an elevator-based museum in Thunder Bay.

The science education and discovery centre has helped other northern Ontario communities — such as Timmins, Kenora and Red Lake — establish tourist attractions, and leveraging the resources and expertise already in Sudbury could provide a huge boost for the museum, said Science North CEO Guy Labine.
