The Discovery Centre has offered Nova Scotians opportunities to learn about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) for 32 years. What started in 1985 as a travelling science show from the back of a van has grown to become the largest science centre in Atlantic Canada. After opening a new state-of-the-art facilitate on the Halifax Waterfront earlier this year, it is now one of the largest such centres in the country and the first new science centre to open in Canada in nearly seven years.
